Sarah Thorpe Scott is the founder of Thorpe Scott Coaching & Advisory and a Partner at Evolution. Sarah draws on over 20 years of leadership experience in high-performance environments. She served as Managing Director, EMEA at The New York Times and held senior roles at Forbes and NBC, leading teams and delivering outsized commercial performance. She began her career in investment banking at Credit Suisse, advising private equity clients, and has since coached and mentored hundreds of high achievers navigating transition and growth.
Having married into a fifth-generation family business, Sarah brings a rare combination of personal and professional insight to her work with family enterprise systems. She understands the tensions that come with balancing legacy, leadership, and family dynamics – and partners with families to surface unspoken dynamics, strengthen relational trust, and prepare the next generation for stewardship with confidence. Sarah completed an ICF-accredited coach training program and holds the Financial Times Non-Executive Director Diploma in board governance. Originally from North Carolina and now based in London, she chairs the Development Board of the Young Vic Theatre and is passionate about the intersection of the future of work and the future of home.
